College Scholarships for Madera County High School Girls

AAUW Madera awards college scholarships to young women graduates from Madera County high schools.  In addition to academic excellence, the girl’s community service, school activities and leadership, work experiences, and financial needs are considered.

Applications for these scholarships are usually available by winter break and they are awarded in the spring at a scholarship reception.  The number and amount of the scholarships are determined by amounts raised through fundraisers and from individual and business donations.

Recent scholarship winners have attended UC Davis, CSU Fresno, Arizona State, UC San Diego, UCLA, and Madera Center.  There are also former AAUW Madera scholarship winners in leadership roles in our community.
